How to Post wikiHow Articles on Your Blog or Website

It's easy to share wikiHow's content on almost any blog or website, such as Blogger or MySpace. If your site uses HTML, just use our republishing tool. Here's how:

Steps


  1. Go to the Special:Republish page.
    • At the bottom of the article you wish to post, click on the link entitled as: "Embed this: Republish this entire article on your blog or website"
    • Review the HTML code in the box at the top of the page.
    • Review links to popular blogging platforms beneath the box.

  2. Copy all of the HTML code from the box.
    • Windows: Click your mouse once in the box. Hit CTRL-A to select all the code, then hit CTRL-C to copy it.
    • Macintosh: Click your mouse once in the box. Hit Apple-A to select all the code, then hit Apple-C to copy it.

  3. Open your blog or web page for editing.
  4. Paste the code onto your page.
    • Be sure that your blog is in a mode that accepts HTML.
    • HTML editing may need to be selected.
    • Many use their own custom editors by default.
    • See the tips below for common blogging platforms.

  5. Save your post.

  • Follow these guidelines:
    • Blogger: To display an entire article, copy and paste the code as described.
      • Clicking on the Blogger link, in our republishing tool, puts a link on your blog.

    • Livejournal: Click on "HTML Editor" prior to pasting code.
    • MySpace: Avoid being in the "Advanced Editor" when pasting code.
    • Typepad: Select "Edit HTML" prior to pasting code.
    • Vox: Click "Yes" when asked if you would like Vox to translate HTML.
    • Windows Live Spaces: Click on "HTML", in your blog editor, prior to pasting code.
    • Wordpress: Click on "Code Editor" prior to pasting code.
